Testimonials
Judy Kirkpatrick, using the Vodder lymphatic drainage massage technique has succeeded in treating the severe chronic lymphoedema in my lower legs caused by an accident. The swelling is greatly reduced and the lymphatic drainage system in my legs works on it own. This has given me chronic pain relief, improved the appearance of my legs, and ensured I no longer suffer the other medical conditions which accompany chronic lymphoedema (blood clots, cellulitis, leakage of the blood vessel valves, and poor healing).
Here is my story.
“I fell 2 years ago and damaged the lymph system below the knees in both legs. I was in a wheelchair 6 weeks and walked with a cane for 2 months. My legs were badly bruised and swollen from the knee down. The swelling was extreme and very hard.
I had physio-therapy twice per week and began an exercise program focused on moving the fluid in my legs. My legs improved, the swelling was reduced and I was able to walk.
I continued the physio therapy for 6 months and began lymphatic drainage massage. I tried 2-3 different massage techniques with no lasting improvement. My legs were still badly swollen, warm and very hard.
Following a blood clot in my legs, I went to sports medicine doctor and a cardiovascular specialist. The diagnosis was severe lymphoedema. The treatment was tension stockings with no hope of the lymphatic drainage in my legs improving. I was told to expect more blood clots, cellulitis, and a break down of the valves in my blood vessels. I was given a prescription for anti-biotic and told that any bite, sting or cut to my legs would not heal on its own.
I wore the tension stockings, continued my exercise program and began to search for something that would reduce the lymphodermia in my legs.
I began Vodder lymphatic drainage massage twice per week with Judy Kirkpatrick in December, 2008.
The results were immediate and dramatic. After each massage the swelling in my legs was visibly reduced. But more importantly, the swelling in my legs was less the next day. The lymphatic system in my legs was pumping on its own. As I continued the massage the amount of swelling was less and the swelling was reduced for a longer time. In May 2008, I began massage weekly and I expect to increase the time between massages as the lymphatic system in my legs continues to improve.
I no longer wear the tension stockings; have not had a reoccurrence of the blood clots, no cellulitis and the blood vessel valves in my legs are no longer leaking.
If you are suffering from lymphoedema, I would highly recommend Judy Kirkpatrick and the Vodder massage.
Sincerely

Hi my name is Sean,
I am a Garden Maintenance man, I had my first massage with Judy Kirkpatrick last month, I was amazed at how many sore spots I had and how she managed to find them all. In my business I am using many tools above the head, and others on my knees, so you can imagine how much I needed this massage. Judy gives a deep, firm massage and although I was a little sore the next day, I still felt good, after that I felt great. I have booked a regular massage with Judy, as the difference was fantastic.

To whom it may Concern,
It is my pleasure to write this Letter of Recommendation for Judy Kirkpatrick.
I consulted Judy in August 2007 after my daughter had been diagnosed by Dr. Paul Ohmsen as having growth related problems that were impacting on her hip joint. She had been experiencing pain and on the recommendation of the Doctor ceased all dynamic activities until such time that she was pain free.
During her time away from sport she attended regular sessions of Finch Therapy with Judy. The exercises were low impact, simple to perform and highly effective. My daughter felt instant relief and this continued after most sessions. Over time these exercises were highly successful in managing her injury, significantly reduced the levels of pain she was experiencing and improved the flexibility of her hip joint.
During the 2008 Netball season she continued sessions with Judy. These sessions included Finch Therapy and massage. Judy attended many of the carnivals, with massage and Finch Therapy exercises being used effectively between games. My daughter was selected in the Queensland U/12 Netball Team that went on to win the Australian Schoolgirls Championships. Her Hinterland Rep team was undefeated for the season, winning at Challenge. She also represented her school in the State Final Series of the Vicki Wilson Cup. I believe the Finch Therapy and massage provided by Judy was instrumental in her playing out the entire season.
Judy is highly professional and dedicated to work. She always acts in the best interests of the athlete and has a friendly personality, enabling her to relate well to others. I have no hesitation in recommending Judy and believe the treatment she provides is valuable to athletes and teams.
Yours Faithfully
Selena Morice
